Welcome to The Drinkers’ Tribune
For all maybe 2 of you that ended up here and are wondering how the fuck did I end up on this blog, I want to first apologize for the journey you likely had to take to get here. I also wanted to briefly introduce this blog, which I have poured minutes into creating.
I created this blog as a place to share my life work: turning drinking from a problem to a hobby. You see not too long ago I just like to drink cause it was fun and cool. Then I wanted to be better than people at it so I tried to drink more, which typically ended poorly. So I decided if I can’t drink more, I need to drink better and make sure people knew it. And boy did I do that. Here is a short list of my accomplishments so far:
- Had a beer and whiskey instagram with over 400 followers that were mostly bots
- Drank a lot of whiskey (not an alcoholic)
- Ticked over 2000 beers on untapped (some of them were under 1oz pours)
- Certified Wizard in Whiskey. jk. But there really is a “wizard academy” whiskey program out there for that which sloppily tosses the titles of “whiskey somm” onto people after a “absolute minimum of 2 years” of marketing classes. What a time to be alive
- Had a pour of Pappy Van Winkle before it was cool
- I have never put an ice cube in my whiskey cause momma aint raise no bitch
- As a kid I used to put stickers on things because I thought it was cool turned out to be a highly sought after skill
- I also used to play with candle wax, again because I thought it was cool, also turned out to be a highly sought after skill
Not sure I need anything else to boost my status, you’re really talking to an expert here. I plan to invite other professional drinkers to share their stories here and allow me to further push drinking even beyond being a hobby to being a job.
